Templo del Corazón

A Women's Immersion into Embodiment, Expression & Remembrance

There are places within us that cannot be reached through words alone.

Places that awaken through ritual. Through the body. Through beauty. Through being witnessed. Through the Earth beneath us and the waters that have been flowing since long before we arrived. Templo del Corazón — The Temple of the Heart — is a five-day immersion into these places. Hidden within the lush jungle of Costa Rica, we will step outside the rhythms of ordinary life and into a world created intentionally for remembrance.

What lives inside the temple

Much of what will happen inside Templo del Corazón will remain behind the temple doors until you arrive. But we can tell you something of its essence.

Tantric Practice & Ancient Ritual

A carefully woven journey into the sacred feminine — drawing on tantric practice and ancient ritual to open what has been closed, honor what has been forgotten, and invite the body into deeper states of presence and aliveness.

Embodiment & Creative Expression

Your body is a place of listening. Through movement, breath, voice and creative expression, we return to the intelligence that lives below thought — reclaiming sensuality, wildness and the joy of inhabiting yourself fully.

Ceremony & Threshold Crossing

There will be thresholds. Places where we consciously acknowledge that something within us has shifted — where we honor what we are leaving behind and turn toward the life asking to be lived through us.

Sisterhood & Communion with the Earth

You will remember what it feels like to be witnessed by other women without needing to perform, diminish or explain. We will immerse in sacred waters, gather beneath open skies, and find ourselves held by the living jungle.

The Costa Rican jungle river and forest surrounding the retreat

The land

Lagunas, Costa Rica

Our temple space is suspended amongst the Costa Rican jungle tree canopy. Rich with life and its soothing orchestra of flowing waters and wildlife song, our nervous systems will recalibrate to the natural world and to an ancient tune our cells have known and resonated with since time immemorial.

Private suite with jungle views at the retreat sanctuary

Your Home in the Jungle

For five days, we will make our home in a beautiful private sanctuary tucked into the mountains of Lagunas, surrounded by the lushness of the Costa Rican jungle. Designed to exist in harmony with its surroundings, the home is a meeting place between wild nature and refined comfort — warm woods, expansive glass, open-air terraces and sweeping views into the jungle canopy. Each woman will settle into a beautifully appointed suite with its own private bathroom and terrace, creating a personal sanctuary for rest, integration and quiet moments between our time together. Wake to the sounds of the forest, step onto your terrace with a cup of tea, and allow the jungle to be the first thing you encounter each morning. At the heart of the home, our shared spaces open seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. A beautiful pool invites afternoon swims and moments beneath the sun, while a cold plunge and sauna offer spaces for restoration, renewal and tending to the body throughout our stay. There will be room here for slowness. For lingering over nourishing meals. For conversations on the terrace. For slipping into the pool between practices. For disappearing into your room when you need solitude. For sauna and cold plunge, morning tea among the trees, and evenings spent together as the jungle settles into darkness. This will be more than where we sleep. For five days, this sanctuary becomes our home — a private temple held within the jungle where we can gather, soften, restore and remember. A place where beauty and wildness meet. Where you can feel deeply held while still having space that is entirely your own. And where the natural world is never more than a few steps away.

Nourishing plant-based food at the retreat

Nourishment from the Earth

Food will be an integral part of our time together — another way we slow down, receive, and come into deeper relationship with the land that is holding us. Throughout the retreat, we will be lovingly nourished with organic, locally sourced, plant-based meals, thoughtfully prepared to be as vibrant and beautiful as they are wholesome. Fresh tropical fruits, abundant vegetables, herbs and other seasonal ingredients will celebrate the richness of Costa Rica and the nourishment available from the Earth around us. Our meals will be created by our dear sister and chef extraordinaire, Ayama, whose food is prepared with intention, creativity and love. Each dish will be designed to leave you feeling deeply nourished, energized and cared for as we move through our days together. We believe nourishment is its own kind of ritual. A table filled with beautiful food. Women gathering together. Eating slowly. Sharing stories. Receiving what the Earth has grown for us. Simple, abundant, alive — food made with love, from the land, for the body and soul.

Your guides

Asia and Astara bring together a rare depth of experience, wisdom, and devotion. Each brings her own gifts — and together, they create a container unlike any other.

Asia Hamilton

Co-founder & Facilitator

Asia Hamilton

Asia is a facilitator, mother, land steward, designer, herbalist, and devoted student of the sacred arts whose life has been shaped by a deep inquiry into what it means to remember our true nature and live in relationship with the sacred.

Her path has carried her through multiple wisdom traditions and lineages. She has trained shamanically within the Shipibo lineage, is a devotee of the Sophianic arts, and a practitioner of Vajrayana Buddhism, a tantric Buddhist tradition in which she has received multiple empowerments and transmissions from lamas. She is also a certified yoga teacher and lifelong student of yogic philosophy.

Asia has studied herbalism under the guidance of an Indigenous teacher, deepening a relationship with the plant world that extends far beyond formal study. Much of her free time is spent in her apothecary crafting plant medicines, learning directly from the plants, and exploring the many ways humans have lived in relationship with the botanical world across generations. This reverence for plants, land, and traditional wisdom is woven naturally into the spaces she creates.

At the heart of Asia's work is remembrance — not the pursuit of becoming something more, but the uncovering of what is already innate: our connection to the body, to spirit, to one another, and to the living Earth. Her retreats are intentionally created as immersive worlds where ritual, embodiment, nature, creativity, mystery, and ancient wisdom become doorways into that remembering.

Asia is also an interior designer and steward of land in the jungles of Costa Rica, where she is bringing a long-held vision to life: building a retreat center rooted in reverence for the natural world, meaningful human connection, and the expansion of consciousness. Her eye for beauty and space is inseparable from the way she facilitates — she believes the environments we inhabit can themselves become vessels for transformation.

Beneath all of these paths, her deepest devotion is to the life she shares with her family. She is mother to two children and a devoted wife to her beloved of twelve years, continually discovering that the spiritual path is not separate from ordinary life, but woven directly through it.

Her work is an invitation into that same discovery: to bring the sacred out of abstraction and into the body, the Earth, our relationships, and the way we choose to live.

Astara

Co-founder & Facilitator

Astara

Astara is a transformational guide, somatic practitioner, and devoted student of the feminine mysteries whose work lives at the meeting place of Tantra, embodiment, ancient yogic wisdom, and the intelligence of the body.

Rooted in tantric somatic arts, feminine movement, breathwork, womb wisdom, energy healing, and Himalayan Kriya Yoga, she creates spaces that invite women out of old patterns of holding and into deeper states of softness, expression, aliveness, and self-remembrance.

Her own path of awakening has taken her across the world and deep into the study of the body as a vessel for transformation. Today, she weaves years of practice and lived experience into spaces that are at once deeply nurturing and powerfully activating — inviting women to listen inward, reclaim their innate life force, and allow the fullness of who they are to move through them.

There is a tenderness to the way Astara holds space, an invitation to soften without becoming small, to open without abandoning oneself, and to remember the body as something sacred, intelligent, and profoundly alive.

At Templo del Corazón, Astara brings this devotion to the feminine into the temple, guiding women deeper into embodiment, expression, connection, and the remembrance of their own radiant nature.
